Problems of algae in the eutrophic water become increasingly severe, and how to eliminate algae pollution has become an important issue solved.For the removal of algae in eutrophic water there are many methods and techniques,which have shown each other some shortcomings and defects, can not meet the rapid development of water quality protection requirements. Based on the previous researchs on the algae removal technology,a new crystal containing Ag+-Ag3+using its unique nature has been used for this study. A new algieide for rapid removel of alage species was applied to meet the demand of cleaning the eutropication water.The conclusions of monitoring for a year are following:(1) Crystals on the surface of materials carrying tetrasilver are rich in Ag3+.By XRD analysis, crystals on the surface of materials are rich in tetrasilve;By EDS analysis.the ratio of atom’s number of Ag and0is close to1:1,so crystals on the surface of materials contain Ag3+(2) Marerials carrying tetrasilver effect on the algae not only kill, but a significant inhibitory effect.Experiments show that for severe eutrophic water in which TN=30mg/L, TP=3mg/L, materials carrying tetrasilver make microcystis be not only killed, but also able to keep chla at a Low level, which is always less than5μg/L that is under the nutritional status in the "Evaluation method and classification standard for eutroiphication in lake"(3) Marerials carrying tetrasilver used in the typical rivers and lakes have the significant effect on inhibiting algae. The Campus water, Mingyue Lake, the Grand Canal, Slender West Lake are selected for experiments. Marerials had a strong inhibitory effect on the dominant algae species in the four water,and no other dominant species appeared during the experiments. At the same time chla was maintained at the3μg/L or less.(4) As the weight tetrasilver is in the same case,for effect on inhibiting algae resin ball is better than ceramic and composite filler.Marerials carrying tetrasilver have the advantage of relatively low energy consumption, easy operation and low maintenance. The materials used in eutrophic water for algal growth inhibition has important academic significance and wide application prospects.
