Yuecheng reservoir, which is the main water source for industry, agriculture and domestic water in Handan and Anyang city, is listed the focus of environment protection, and its water quality has been subject to much attention by the provincial, municipal Environmental Protection Agency and the water conservancy departments. There are Long-term monitoring data about the evaluation of the surface water environment quality, which have some guidance on the control of the quality of the diversion water and to reflect the impacts on water quality by the pollution sources along the river.In this study, Yuecheng reservoir as a foothold, which we have done some studies as below:First, a preliminary understanding of the location, topography and the surrounding environment about Yuecheng reservoir was started. Second, the continuous sampling was last for one year, and the monitoring factor concentrations were obtained based on the analysis, monitoring for the samples using the advanced laboratory equipment. Third, the concentration changes during there water period(plentiful, normal and dry) and season were summarized. Combined with the monitoring data and analysis results, the reservoir water quality was evaluated comprehensively using the basic theory of fuzzy math. Finally, the water quality of yuecheng reservoir was shown based on the objective assessment, that also provided some reference and basis for the assessment of surface water quality.
