As an efficient, stable welding method, Submerged arc welding has been widely used in the manufacturing field,Agglomerated flux is easy to manufacture, energy saving and environmental protection, will be a transition to a high-speed welding alloys and suitable for large heat advantage has been gradually replaced by the melting flux used in various industries, but the the hygroscopic problem of the main factors that hinder their promotion, research sinteringthe flux of moisture understand, to reduce its moisture tendencies, with good social and economic benefits.In this paper, the reason of the high hygroscopic of the agglomerated flux is summarized through the analysis of the composition and structural characteristics of the sintered flux, and come to result of replacing the use of sodium silicate in the agglomerated flux can reduce the sintering flux hygroscopic and oguarantee the original process performance.By analyzing the role of sodium silicate played in the sintering flux of bonding agents and facilitate sintering, and proposed the use of the organic adhesive PVA and the composite sintered agent Cr2O3and Li2CO3to substitute sodium silicate with strong hygroscopicity. And by sintering flux craftsmanship and hygroscopicity tests the result is obtained that when the the Cr2O3addition amount of0.5%, Li2CO3is added in an amount of5%, and composite sintered agent is added to the cover the surface, the sintering flux particles have a better resistance of moisture absorption.A new agglomerated flux of MgO-CaO-Al2O3-SiO2slag system with high alkalinity and good welding performance is developed with the uniform design formulation experimen. At the same time by comparing the novel the agglomerated flux with conventional water glass adhesive sintering flux in different drying process deposited metal diffusible hydrogen test, come to the result that the new agglomerated flux deposited metal diffusible hydrogen significantly lower than the conventional flux welding can better meet the requirements at the low drying temperature of250...
