The Vibration Aging is called VSR(Vibratory Stress Relief) technology abroad, that is a method of using vibration to relieve residual stress. Specifically, apply cyclic load to the parts with residual stress repeatedly, using the method of vibration. The plastometric set is produced to the parts, coming along with the residual stress relief, so the size of the parts is stabilized. As it has great advantage over traditional heat treating and natural aging in energy-saving and emission-reduction and rapidity, the utilization of VSR is gradually popularized at home and abroad. Especially, it is fairly mature abroad.This essay focuses on the VSR mechanism, the VSR theory basis based on Frequency Sweeping method, and introduction of VSR technics and effect evaluation method. The national standard of VSR effect evaluation is introduced, which can be described as follows: shown by the amplitude-frequency curve (A-f) that the peak value after VSR is higher or the peak point move to the left of the former peak point or the bandwidth become more narrow; Or shown by the amplitude-time curve (A-t) that the curve rises and then become smooth or the curve rises, goes down, and then become smooth. The process of VSR:clamp the vibration generator on the proper place of the parts rigidly, adjust the vibration frequency, and then make the parts resonate for a certain time. When the Frequency Sweeping is executed, place the sensor on the parts. Then the sensor delivers the vibration signal to the analysis system and at least three vibration frequencies can be analyzed by the system. After the parts are vibrated at the assigned frequencies and intensity for a required time, the VSR process is finished.The main tasks of this paper consist of the construction of VSR hardware system, software development, and modal experiment for verification. The software mainly consists of PID module for controlling the motor speed, high-speed data acquisition module, and frequency sweeping analysis module. At least three natural frequencies are obtained by frequency sweeping analysis, one or two of which are chosen for VSR at the specified intensity and time. Based on the strict experimental scientific spirit, the modal experiment was done with the modal analysis system DASPV10for verification of the availability of frequencies sweeping analysis system.
