In this article, the studied Off-line test system is the inspection equipment designed for inertia friction welding machine of one steel tubing plant. One of the critical components of friction welding machine is principal axis, it adopts hydrostatic thrust bearing to contend against the axial force at work. For various reasons, the leakage of the hydrostatic thrust bearing will be out of limits, will cause the work paralysis. Consequently, an off-line testing system of the hydrostatic bearing leakage is designed in this article. The major function of the testing system is testing the principal axis which has been maintained. Otherwise, it can not guarantee the principal axis which is on line working is troubleprool.If the leakage is measured in the real operating condition, the testing system will be oversized, so it is not the optimal scheme. In this article, the leakage is measured in the low-pressure condition, then a curve is fitted according to the data, and the leakage of various pressures is obtained at last.The principal axis is rotating at work, in order to get the quantitative and qualitative relationship between rotation factor and leakage. Firstly, the expression of speed pressure flow is obtained by theoretical derivation. Then the simulation experiment is conducted by FLUENT software, the rotation influence can be neglected by theoretical derivation and simulation experiment in this article.In order to ensure the fitting curve can reflect practical situation truly, the relational expression of pressure flow is ascertained in the first, and through the fitting comparison of the experimental data simulated by FLUENT software, the more accurate relational expression of speed pressure flow is obtained. And with this method, the influence the ring plane gap geometry parameters on the pressure flow characteristic is Studied.Concluded that when the geometry ratio reaches a certain value, the pressure flow relationship will no longer be a linear relationship, becomes exponentially. The hydraulic system is designed, the industrial control computer and PLC are taken as the hardware basis, and the corresponding electric control system is developed in the programming environment of Visual C++6.0and STEP7MicroWIN. In the last, the simulation test is carried out to partial software, and the expected results are obtained.
