At present, most of the domestic bra enterprises adopt "repeated modify" method designthe moulded bra, with the UG software, based on the theory of backward engineering designmethod. However, there is no connection between the bra and digitized mannequin of thetargeted customs, no corresponding mannequin as a bra design basis, the bra development islack of pertinence, resulting the problems of deficiency in design parameters and theexcessively long-term design cycle. So, when we design the bra, relevant parameterizedmannequin should be introduced to make the digital three-dimensional design of the brarealized. Through advancing the accuracy of design to improve the fit of the underwear, toreduce design error, simplify repeated modification process, enterprise can save the cost,shorten the production period, and enhance the comprehensive competitiveness.Women breast forms are diversified, the feature parameters and numerical range used todescribe the form of the breast are also different. Therefore, setting up different types of chestparameterized mannequins is the foundation work of the bra digital design in enterprises. Thisthesis aims to meet this demand, carries out the study of parameterized mannequin of differentchest forms, namely to study the reasonable segmentation of women s chest type, and studythe constraint relationship exists in the different type of chests, using the parametric andfeature modeling technology to model the different type chests.The research of this paper mainly includes the following four parts:(1) Investigation and analysis of the bra mannequin. Through visiting bra enterprises,application situation of mannequin had been realized and the demands for parameterizedmannequin for bra designing were found in underwear enterprises. Through this process,mannequin for bra designing was analyzed, classification and design principles wereacknowledged, and then the classification method of the bra features, human body featuresand breast shape features were analyzed on the foundation of the design principle;(2)Parameters extraction and parameterized modeling of bra mannequin. Theparameters extracted in this paper are from the following two parts: human classifiedparameters and the mannequin modeling feature parameters. The mannequin modelingparameters are mainly extracted from the integral human form and the basic parts form. Whenmodeling, set the extraction principle of human body c feature curves and feature points.From the waist to cervical point,19feature curves were chose and the feature points were extracted on basis of these curves. Study how to express the feature curves were chose and thefeature points with the parametric expression method.(3) Parameterized mannequin was realized based on UG second development. Twomethods,“coordinate figure”and “point set gotten from the equal arc length way”,werechosen to realize the feature points;“points to B-spline curve” was chosen to fit the humanfeature curves;“B-spline grid method” was used to fit the human body surface, then got theparameterized mannequin.(4) The application of bra design on the basis of parameter mannequin. The applicationsof NC Machining in mannequin and the bra design based on parameter mannequin wereintroduced. And bra straps design and3D wire design as well as the cup design wereemployed to exemplify the applications.
