| In people’s daily life, foam is a very common phenomenon. The existence of bubble has a good side, such as extinguisher, washing, floatation, dedusting, and other manufacturing of foam ceramic and foam plastic. But there are many negative aspects, such as textile printing and dyeing, textile sizing, coating, papermaking, ink, waste water treatment, fermentation and other industries, the presence of foam would adversely affect the product quality and production process. Therefore, in the field of industrial production, often require a certain amount of defoamer in order to eliminate (and suppress) bubbles or foam. With the rapid economic development of our country, people’s living standards rising, new and efficient defoamer for the level of technology development of the textile products and applications is very important.There are many kinds of defoamers from natural substances to the synthetic. But the two common types are polyether and silicone. The silicone defoamer has low toxicity, antioxidant and breaking running ability, but less defoaming ability, thus consume large. The polyether defoamer has a low rate of broken foam, but is good at suppressing foam. Therefore, researchers pay more attention to the polyether modified silicone which integrate the advantages of polyether and silicone in China, become an excellent defoamer and applied aboard. In this object, we preparation of defoamer that synthesis of graft polyether modified silicone, and studied on the defoaming performance is affected by the temperature, time, ratio, catalyst, pH value, HLB values, etc.In the object, we studied on:(1) the defoaming performance is affected by the ratio of polyether and silicone;(2) the optimal time of the polyether modified silicone oil;(3) the dosage of catalyst in the polyether modified silicone oil;(4) the optimal temperature of the polyether modified silicone oil;(5) the dosage of SiO2in the preparation of silicon paste;(6) the optimal temperature in the preparation of silicon paste;(7) the optimal time in the preparation of silicon paste;(8) the optimal HLB values of the emulsifier;(9) the dosage of silicon paste in the preparation of defoamer;(10) the dosage of NaOH in the preparation of defoamer.The result showed that:the ratio of polyether and silicone is15:1; the dosage of catalyst in the polyether modified silicone oil is1.2%; the optimal time of the polyether modified silicone oil is two hours; the optimal temperature of the polyether modified silicone oil is one hundred and ten degree centigrade, and characterized by the IR spectrum; the dosage of SiO2in the preparation of silicon paste is three percent; the optimal temperature in the preparation of silicon paste is one hundred degree centigrade; the optimal time in the preparation of silicon paste is three; the optimal HLB values of the emulsifier is nine point five; the dosage of silicon paste in the preparation of defoamer is thirty percent; the dosage of NaOH in the preparation of defoamer is three percent.In this paper we also used the defoamer that is prepared at optimal condition in the textile sizing, and we do the parallel of the defoamer of polyether modified silicone oil and silicone, and the result show that the defoaming performance of the defoamer of polyether modified silicone is better than the defoamer of silicone. |
