For human beings, flies are one of the most averse insects. It will contaminate food and spread many kinds of diseases, which will impact the health of people seriously. Both physical and chemical existing Anti-fly measures have their own limitations on the usage places or the anti-flies effects. In recent years, the rapid development of the anti-mosquito textiles in recent years provides a new idea for the prevention of flies. This issue use natural anti-fly ingredients as the repellent, and treating them in the micro-encapsulation process and then finishing it on the fabrics to obtain textiles with fly-proof effect. These kinds of fabrics can be made into curtains, tablecloths and other textile products to achieve the purpose of removing indoor flies. The purpose of this paper is to research and develop anti-flies textiles, mainly extracting and researching the volatile components of natural plants, the preparation and evaluation of anti-flies microcapsules, the process of fabric finishing agents and finishing. And some technologies on fabric finishing and finally taking a comprehensive evaluation on the anti-flies and commonly wear ability of the textile after finishing. At the beginning, the stems and leaves of mint and tomatoes are selected to be the extracted plants from variety of plants with the effect of anti-flies. Then dry and crush the stems and leaves of the plants which were collected. The volatile components are extracted to be the anti-flies agent from both plants. According to the plants’own characteristics, the methods of steam distillation, solvent extraction and ultrasonic extraction are used to extract mint. The fact is that the ultrasonic method is the best way to extract the mint after inspecting the extracting contents of every method. The method of distillation is used to extract the stems and leaves of tomatoes. Then the sort and content of the volatile components are tested by chromatography-mass spectrometry.Furthermore, place the extracted anti-flies components at microcapsules disposal. The concentrated extraction of stems and leaves of tomatoes is used as inner water phase. The ethyl cellulose is used as sell material. Ethyl acetate is used as oil phrase (with mint extraction dissolved in). The Arabic gum is used as protective colloid, adapting double emulsion wrapping method to prepare anti-flies components. Then test and evaluate the performance of the microcapsules obtained. Through a series of single factor experiment and orthogonal optimization experiments, the optimum preparation process has been gained after analysis:Emulsifier concentration is3%, amount of organic phase is1:7, shell material amount is3%, the amount of protective colloid is1.5%, the average particle diameter of the microcapsules obtained is between2.98μm and3.59μm approximately, with spherical shape and a good coating effect. Then, use polyacrylate as the binder, and add it into the prepared microcapsule suspension and gain microcapsule finishing agents, then use the impregnation method to treat the cotton fabric. Investigate the effect of the performance of the anti-flies fabric after treatment for different bath ratio, soaking temperature, soaking time respectively. Then, use self-made fly-resistant performance testing containers to test the anti-flies performance of the fabric after treatment, the optimum conditions of finishing process is obtained after analysis:liquor ratio is3:1, dipping temperature:40℃, immersion time:30min.Finally, the strength, permeability, thickness and other wear ability is analyzed and examined. Found that the strength and permeability will decrease slightly and the thickness will increase slightly for the fabric after anti-flies treatment. Overall, the small changes, however, have few effects to the wear ability of the fabric, remaining the original performance of the fabric basically.
