This paper carried out the V-cast coatings performancetesting and evaluation methods. Try to lay the foundation for developing the national orindustry standards of V-casting coatings. The article introduces the applicator method ofthe coating, performance testing and laboratory application. The specific steps are asfollows:Conduct basic research on the excellent performance of the eight kinds of V-castcoating in the domestic. Study the applicator method of the coating, the test methods ofthe conventional properties such as viscosity, density, suspension etc.Manufacture the device for low temperature drying and wear resistance by myself.Introduce the test and evaluation methods of drying, adhesion and wear resistance in theperformance of V-cast coating for the first time. Analyze the factors about theperformance of the coatings’ drying, adhesion and wear resistance. Factors which affectthe drying are the drying temperature of the coating, the thickness of the coating, therefractory component of the coating. Factors which affect the adhesion are the dryingtemperature of the coating, the thickness of the coating. Factor which affects the wearresistance is the drying temperature of the coating. Evaluate the coating’ conventionalperformance, drying, adhesion and wear resistance dividedly and merge the relevantindividual performance levels of coatings, list an overall performance rating at the end.Ⅰ-class is the best performance and III-class is the worst performance. This provides areference for the manufacturers to produce the V-cast coatings with high quality and thecasting companies can choose the coatings with required performance.To verify the coating composition effect on properties.
