Waters eutrophication is one of the significant environmental problems.According to the eutrophication problems of typical waters in Tianjin, the introducedtechnology on phosphorus controlling which using the phoslock was studied carefullyand the pilot experiment was conducted in this paper. It was expected to provide newtechnology for improving the water quality of the slow-flow water body quicklyabidingly and efficiently, and it was also expected that the optimal water qualityimproving method can be detected. In this paper, the eutrophication levels of the typical waters such as thelandscape waters, rivers and natural ponds was investigated, analyzed and evaluated. The water and sediment from the landscape river in the area of Tianjin Airportindustrial park, the Fuxing river and the domestic sewage natural pond inLiuxiangying which is in Jixian, were sampled. The “Psenner” sequential chemicalextraction method improved by “Hupfer” was applied to analyze the distributioncharacteristics of the phosphorus contamination and phosphorus structure in thesediment of eutrophication waters. It was indicated that bio-available phosphorus(BAP) was the most important structure, because more than half of the totalphosphorus was easy to be released and to be used, which is to say the ecological riskis the biggest. The eutrophication status index was used to evaluate the eutrophicationlevels. Base on the analyses on the releasing rule of phosphorus in the differentenvironment in sediment, the typical eutrophication waters were choose to conductlaboratory experiment. According to the adsorption experiment on different factors, static simulation test, dynamic simulation test, the adsorption characteristic of thePhoslock for the phosphate was analyzed and studied. On this basis, the conditions ofdifferent dissolved oxygen, pH value, temperature in waters was studiedcontradistinctively, and its effectiveness on the controlling of phosphorus and theremediation on the sediment was also studied. It was indicated from the experimentresult of adsorption dynamic, the adsorption capacity for the phosphorus which canreach balance in about1hour, is about10.1mg/g, thus the concentration of phosphatecan be controlled at a low level, which inhibition rate is above97.4%. Base on thelaboratory experiment, the using amount for the typical eutrophication waters inTianjin was provided. The technology was used in the field water treatment projectand the test index was monitored, which is aimed to investigate the effect on theimprovement of water environment in the field project. It was shown from the resultthat soluble orthophosphate(bio-available phosphorus) was decreased by more than 97%after Phoslock was dosed by7days, and the total phosphorus was decreased by30%to50%, chemical oxygen demand was decreased by40%to54%. On the basis ofdecreasing the concentration of phosphate in the water, the releasing of phosphorus inthe sediment was inhibited effectively and the situation of eutrophication wasimproved.
