Molecular imprinting technique is recognized as a powerful technique ofpreparing synthetic polymers that contain tailor-made recognition sides for certainmolecular. Intelligent molecular imprinted hydrogels exhibit reversible swellingbehavior in response to certain external stimulation and thus to achieve the specificrecognition of molecules. Photonic crystal is a three-dimensional orderedmacroporous materials. They are formed by two or more materials which havedifferent dielectric constant Electromagnetic waves were modulated when spread inthese three-dimensional ordered macroporous materials, which generates photonicband gap. By combination of intelligent molecular imprinted hydrogels and photoniccrystal, intelligent molecular imprinting photonic crystal has been prepared.In this paper,4-aminopyridine molecularly imprinted hydrogel photoniccrystals were prepared and their properties were characterized. The results show thatThe reversible recognition and release of4-aminopyridine molecules werecontrolled by the temperature and4-aminopyridine molecular imprinting photoniccrystal has a high selectivity and a good recoverability. More importantly, thisintelligent molecular imprinting photonic crystal can operate easily and directlygenerate readable colorimetric optical signals to report recognition events withoutany treatments for analytes.Monodispersed and thermosensitive Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PNIPAM)hydrogel nanoparticles were prepared by emulsion polymerization respectively. Thehydrogel nanoparticles size was controlled by concentration of SDS. The resultsshowed that the nanoparticles size is decreased with the increase of SDSconcentration; but the nanoparticles size is increased with the increase of H2Oconcentration. Emulsion polymerization method has its unique advantages in thesubsequent application because of its reaction process without emulsifier. The resultshowed that it was make for preparing PNIPAM hydrogel nanoparticles whenreagents was added by twice.
