| Although there are many kinds of number control machines, for different NC machinehas the different demand, the NC systems commonly used for lathing, milling andmachining center at present can not fit the needs of market for cost and the diversity of thefunction. Especially the NC systems used on the sheet metal processing industry, textileindustry and so on have less accuracy requirements on motion control, but morerequirements on craft, so much of them still depend on entrance strongly, this has heavilyrestricted the development of this industry.Aimed at the requirement of such industries, in the thesis an embedded NC systemhardware platform based on ARM+FPGA was designed. The major works of this articleinclude.Based on the study of the hardware structure of the high-grade, mid-grade, low-gradenumerical control system in and abroad; a scheme of the embedded NC system hardwareplatform was proposed.Best used of characteristics of low power consumption of the FPGA and ARM, andthrough choosing low power consumption peripheral devices, a hardware system with lowconsumption and the system protection circuit were designed.Based on the study of all kinds of special interfaces of numerical control system, thelogic control of these interfaces was designed by using VHDL in the FPGA. Also thesystem structure and agreement of the interfaces which ARM can access was designed,and the ration ARM controls these interfaces was improved through taking advantage ofthe ability of parallel computing of FPGA.Aimed of the weakness of ARM on the floating-point calculations, a hardwareinterpolator which was based on the cubic b-spline interpolation algorithm in the FPGAwas designed, which could reduce the load of the ARM processor and improve the interpolation precision and instantaneity of the system.Based on the works above, the PCB design and integration of the embedded NC systemhardware platform were completed. After the test platform prepared, the stability and thereliability of this platform were tested and analysis. At last the ability of platform onpractical application was proved though using it on the three-axle NC bench drillingmachine of Zhejiang Xiling bench drilling company and the three-axle NC glass wearaway machine of Wuhan science NC equipment Co.LTD. |
