In recent years, some people are interested in the researches on the thermalproperties and reduction characteristics. Such as Jing Yu Shi, who get the importantresults through a study on iron ore reduction. But there is a lack of data about thermalproperties, So, this study is not only determining the thermal properties, but alsoanalyzing the reduction about iron concentrate from BAYAN OBO.In this experiment, we determined the thermal parameter of different proportionalmixture using the tube type resistance furnace, thermogravimetric analyzer, specificgravity bottle, X diffraction analyzer and so on. Then we knew the relationship betweenthe volume density, true density on different proportion. On the basis of heat balanceand one dimensional steady state theory, we get the thermal conductivity and specificheat of BAYAN OBO iron in different temperatures, as well as several parameters thatcan calculate the thermal diffusion coefficient values of mineral materials. In thereduction of the iron, we calculated the material weight loss based on thethermogravimetric curve, then combined with XRD diffraction that in the process ofmaterial change to do the analysis of reduction.The experimental results showed that when the coke and iron concentrate weremixed by different proportions, both volume and true density decreased as ironconcentrate reduced, and the true density of iron concentrate is larger than the density ofthe naturally placed one. Equations between temperature and coefficient of thermalconductivity or volume specific heat or the thermal conductivity, which had a goodcorrelation each other, were calculated out by regression method, so the thermophysicalproperties values of the materials under temperature500-1000℃can be calculatedaccurately using regression equations. Through calculating the experimental andtheoritical weigh loss and XRD analysis, it was found that coke ore mixture carried outreduction reaction by ladder type in the thermogravimetric experiment, and the initialtemperature of reduction was low, so the ore had a obvious reduction performance.The article constructed a base for calculating thermophysical properties andreducing characteristics of the main and east orebodies and semicoke through the studyof BAYAN OBO iron concentrate, and provided the theory basis for engineeringapplication and scientific research on BAYAN OBO iron concentrate.
