Large number of strontium waste residue(SWR) caused a serious environmentproblems. The comprehensive utilization of SWR has great benefit to environment andeconomy. The secondary strontium waste residue, which was residue of SWR retrievedstrontium by NH4Cl, was used to disposal the phosphorus-containing wastewater andcopper-containing wastewater. And promote the SWR used in modified concretecompressive performance. The adsorptive conditions of phosphorus-containing wastewater in the modifiedsecondary strontium residual are obtained by the orthogonal experiment. Namely, pH is7, dosage is0.6g/40ml, and adsorption time is90min of. The removal ratio ofphosphorus was97%. It showed that pH had obvious impacts on phosphorus absorption, while reaction time took second place, dosage was minimum. The concentration ofresidual phosphorus in wastewater was below0.5mg/L under the conditions of the10mg/L of phosphorus,7of pH,0.6g/40mL of the MSSR/solution ratio and90min ofadsorption time. The removal ratio of phosphorus was over95%. The adsorptionprocess followed the Langmuir isotherm model and the pseudo-second-order kineties. The secondary strontium residue were activated by acid leaching andhigh-temperature roasting, and then used to dispose the copper-containing wastewater. When the concentration of copper was20mg/ml, the absorption process reached balancein40min under the condition of normal temperature,0.3g/50ml of dosage,6of pH. Theadsorption capacity is5.46mg/g.The strontium residue was used as substituendum of concrete fine aggregate. Whenwater/cement ratio is0.38the compressive strength first increases, then decreases withthe increase of proportion of SWR. The compressive strength is the highest as dosage is20%. When the SWR dosage is40%, the compressive strength is the lowest, and alsolower than that of normal concrete without strontium.
