Due to the good structure rigidity and thermo-stability of the aromaticcarboxylic acids. We select naphthalene-1,8-dicarboxylic acid as the main ligand,1,10-phen as auxiliary ligand. Under hydrothermal conditions, through adjustingreaction temperatures, the reactant and solvent ratio, we synthesized four serial Mn(II)complexes as follows:(1)[Mn(1,8-nap)(1,10-phen)2](ClO4)(H2O)2(1)(2)[Mn(1,8-nap)(1,10-phen)(H2O)2](2)(3)[Mn2(1,8-nap)2(1,10-phen)2(H2O)4](CH3OH)(3)(4)[Mn(1,8-nap)(1,10-phen)2(H2O)](CH3OH)(H2O)(4)The results of the X-ray single-crystal strcuture analysis are as follows:1and3are binuclear unit,1is a three-dimensional supramolecular network constructed byhydrogen bonds and π-π interactions,3is a two-dimensional structure constructed byhydrogen bonds and weak interactions;2is a hexanuclear unit, and is atwo-dimensional structure constructed by two kinds of π-π interactions;4is amononuclear Mn(II) structure. The IR, elementary analysis, magnetic properties ofcomplexes have been studied.2. Under hydrothermal conditions, synthesized one zinc complex (5) whichstructure is similar to the hexanuclear Mn(II) complex, and also studied luminescentproperties of the complex.3.
