The combnation of isometric profile has a high application value because of itsadvantages,such as no significant stress concentration,easy assembly anddisassembly,higher transmission torque,align center automatically,assembly withclearance,work interferencely etc.However,the application of the isometric profile’scombnation has been constrained because of the processing technology of isometricprofile is complex.Manufacturing base has been provided for the isometric profileprocessing because of the rapid development of digital technology,technical support wasalso provided for application of isometric profile keyless connectionThe first,the method of the isometric curve’s equal error linear approximation isanalyzed in this paper.The isometric curve is more complex equation determined by theparameters equation.It is very difficult to solve according to the conventionalmethods,such as equal angles, equal error, equal chord, etc.The recursive formula of thenode coordinates is derived using step estimation method.This also provides a methodfor CNC machining of curve generated by some complex mathematical equation.The second, a Visual Basic program is developed based on the recursive formulaof the node coordinates,and the coordinates of nodes are calculated,this avoids thetedious manual calculations,and improves accuracy.Program can automatically calculateand output the coordinates of the isometric curve given any node parameters andmachining error requirements (usually N=3,mean radius R and eccentricity e for anygiven).In order to check the accuracy of output data,automatic programming is achievedand the tool path is simulated using MasterCAM X3.Tolerance requirements are verydifferent with general machine when the CNC machining,because of the NC machiningaccuracy is higher. In the third part of the thesis,the skills have been proposed aboutreasonably determine the size of CNC machining and improve the accuracy of CNCmachining.NC program generated by MasterCAM X3can not be directly used inproduction,requires a lot of manual changes.After the post-processing of MasterCAMX3has been edited and optimized,NC programs generated by MasterCAM X3can be directly applied to production, a truly automated programming is achieved.To test the NC program generated automatically is able to process a qualifiedproduct,companies often adopt the "single step","try cutting the first piece" approach totest and debug procedures.In this paper,numerical simulation software is adopted to testand debug the NC program,reduce processing costs,improve processing efficiency.Thisenables CAD/CAM programming software and simulation software combinedwell,this ensure the accuracy of the NC programFinally,Experimental verification was carried out using XH714B three-axisvertical machining center for programming method proposed in this paper,the isometricprofile shaft and coupling are machined,the surface quality and tolerance meet thedesign requirements.By analyzing the experimental data,the methods and measures areproposed to further improve the machining accuracy and surface quality.
