| Fluoro-Elastomers (FKM) is a kind of special used rubber applied in Industrial and Automotive fields. It is always used for sealing products within a rigorous condition such as high temperature and chemical fluids because of its aging and fuel resistant specialist due to the molecular structure of itself. The seal effect of Fluoro-Elastomers is quite better than the other rubbers because of its special configuration and excellent fluid-resistant properties. The purpose of this study is to judge and discover the application and ability characters on the Fluoro-Elastomers by analyzing different kinds of Fluoro-Elastomers on their process and using properties with a lot of experiments, especially some fuel aging tests with different recipes and chemicals, then to improve the properties of Elastomers for local users. The research indicated that the peroxide fluoroelastomer has the best property of physical and fuel aging applications. The most proper filler for fluoroelastomer is N990carbon black, and the particle size and surface treatment are the key factors to improve the property of fluoroelastomers. |
