| Surface Plasmon will be generated when light incident on the surface of metal with nanostructures. The light field enhancement can be obtained with surface plasma resonance effect. As the same time, this effect will be changed if we choose different nanostructures which are depended on geometrical, material and size.In this paper, we introduce the concept and the principles of optical field enhancement by Surface Plasmon Resonance. Using FDTD Solutions, we analyze the relationship between the light and nanostructures, taking spheres-shaped and cylinders-shaped as example, we simulate the maximum value of electric enhancement in different materials and different parameters. The spheres-shaped nanostructures includes single sphere, double spheres, spheroids and hemispheres structures, the cylinders-shaped includes ordinary-shaped, oval-shaped and hollow-shaped.Some experiments are made after simulations and calculation. It is not obvious amplification effect with single sphere nanostructure, however others is not, the double spheres nanostructures, spheroids structures and cylinders-shaped structures can make the light field enhancement magnitude amplified to approximately three orders. |
