Porphyrin as the nonliner optical materials was noted extensively. In this thesis,we prepared and characterized5,10,15,20-tetrakis [4-phenyl] porphyrin,tetra (p-sulphonic phenyl) porphyrin and its Zn complex (ZnTPPS4),Co complex (CoTPPS4).And we studied the synthesis,separation,purification methods of porphyrin and metallporphyrin. Characterizaed the structure and properties of porphyrin and metallporphyrin by FT-IR,UV-Vis.Self-assembly technique is used for preparing composite films on the surface of glass and Silicon chips by alternating fabrication of cationic polyelectrolyte (PEI or GO) and anionic sulfonated metalloporphyrin. The third-order nonlinear optical properties of the the three kind of solutions were measured by Z-scanning technique,Experiments show that the TPPS4and ZnTPPS4with nonlinear character,PEI/ZnTHPP4,GO/ZnTHPP4self-assembly films shows the nonlinear character in the six kinds of self-assembly films.
