Aquatic plants is an important part of the littoral zone ecosystem. They plays an important role on the protection of the species diversity and maintain the stability of the littoral zone ecosystem. Based on the previous researches the littoral zone of Taihu Lake, the relationship between he spatial and temporal distribution of the aquatic plant biomass and and water quality factors were systematic analyzed.Base on three surveys, the relationship between spatial and temporal distribution of aquatic plants and the water quality factors in the littoral zone was study by combining means of the Gray correlation analysis and multivariate analysis of variance, and the water factors which have the significant relationship with aquatic plant biomass would be identified, and its conclusions provide a theoretical basis for the restoration of littoral zone in Taihu lake. The results as follows:(1) The spatial and temporal differences of aquatic plant biomass were significance. he aquatic plant biomass was higher in summer. Emergent plants are widely istributed in the whole littoral zone, but in difference about biomass were ignificantly. The main distribution area of the submerged plants is East Lake.Taihu.(?)ccording the temporal and spatial differences about aquatic plant biomass, the ttoral zone of Taihu Lake was distributed into four areas:emergent plants areas, ubmerged aquatic plant areas, emergent+submerged macrophytes areas and none quatic plant areas.(2) The differences about the spatial and temporal distribution of water quality actors and the spatial distribution of state about water pollution were obvious. The oncentration of TN of water body was higher in spring, and the concentration of Chla and TP were higher in summer. The concentration of TP、TN、NH3-N were igher in the areas of Zhushan Bay and Western Costal Belt, and in the areas East aihu Lake, Eastern Costal Belt and Gonghu, the concentration of Chla was lower, nd the value of SD/WH was higher. The results about the evaluation of water quality by using Identification index and nutritional index showed that the water quality was better in the areas of East Taihu Lake. Eastern Costal Belt and Gonghu, and was worst in Zhushan Bay.(3) The relationship between the spatial and temporal distribution of aquatic plants and water quality factors were different. As using the method of the gray correlation analysis and partial correlation coefficient analysis, the results about these show that the with the relevance of emergent and submerged plant biomass with water quality factor were diferent due to the different regions in littoral zone of Taihu Lake. The results of partial correlation coefficient analysis showed that relationship between the emergent plants and water quality factors was not significant, and in summer, submerged plants and water bodies SD/WH significant positive correlation, partial correlation coefficient was0.515, P=0.000.(4) Regional spatial and temporal distribution of the different types of aquatic plant communities have an impact on water quality factors. The results about the effection among the spatial and temporal distribution of aquatic plant species to water quality factors by using multi-factor variance analysis method in littoral zone of Taihu Lake showed that:The temporal changes of aquatic plant biomass changes have an impact on water quality factors, and it is significantly, the spatial distribution of aquatic plants made effected on water quality factors.
