With the rapid development of urbanization process in our country, urban population ismore and more, the municipal solid waste production rapidly increase, too. The urbandevelopment has been plagued by the problem of municipal solid waste pollution. Air andwater body will be polluted by the municipal solid waste, especially the leachate will seriousharm to the water body. The leachate is changeable in quality and quantity, and it contains avariety of high concentrations, pollutants and ammonia nitrogen. The difficult problem of thewater treatment is effectively to deal with the leachate, which is a hot research topic in recentyears. The leachate treatment station that contains three kinds of leachate generated by theabandoned landfill, the municipal solid waste comprehensive treatment plant and theincineration plant in Guangzhou Likeng is designed in this article. First, the mixed leachatequality is calculated, and the appropriate emission standard is determined according to thesurrounding environmental conditions. The mixed leachate yield is also calculated, and thescale of the leachate treatment station is determined. The last, the biochemical pre-treatment with advanced treatment process is selected bycomparing. The UASB with MBR is used in the biochemical pre-treatment, which willremove94.74%COD,95.45%BOD and90%NH3-N. The DT-RO is used after the MBR.The DT-RO has characteristics of the channel width, the short process, and the membranesurface is not easy settlement of pollutants. The leachate will achieve the second period ofprimary standard of “Water Pollutant Emission Limit (DB44/26-2001)” in GuangdongProvince after the DT-RO treatment.
