In this paper, copolymers of poly(tert-butyl acrylate)-b-poly(m-butyl acrylate-co-hydroxyethyl acrylate)were synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization. Then the PtBA-b-(PnBA-co-PHEA) was reacted with cinnamoyl chloride to get poly(tert-butyl acrylate)-b-poly(n-butyl acrylate-co-2-cinnamoylethyl acrylate); last, the PtBA-b-(PnBA-co-PCEA) was hydrolysed by to get amphiphilic copolymer PtBA-b-(PnBA-co-PCEA).The copolymers were characterized by FTIR,’H-NMR and GPC.PtBA-b-(PnBA-co-PCEA) could self-assemble in selective solutions to prepare micelles with PCEMA and PnBA as the core, and PAA chains as the corona. The effects of different self-assembly conditions, such as the water content, the initial copolymer concentration, and the chain length on the morphologies of the aggregates were studied preliminarily. The spherical micelles were cross-linked through PCEMA functional groups with UV light to form stable structure. The micelles were characterized by LS and SEM. Ag/micelle nanocomposite was synthesized by using the micelles as template and NaBH4as reducing agent. The product was characterized by XRD, FT-IR, TEM, UV-Vis spectrum.
