Micro products are widely used in aerospace, medicine, defense industry, communication and other fields due to the advantages of small volume and light weight. Micro products take the place of products in traditional size in many industries and more requirements are presented for micro products with the developments of industries. Micro components are minimal architecture units of micro products. New requirements are presented for the manufacturing of micro components with the quick update of micro products.The complex micro components are representatives of micro components. This paper starts with the manufacturing of the complex micro components, and also micro cutting technology and cutting processing techniques of micro components are studied deeply. Based on the processing technology for complex micro shaft components, a precise mill-turn micro processing system model is developed and used for the manufacturing of this kind of parts. The optimization of the model is carried out using the analysis software in this paper.Through the study of precise mill-turn micro processing system, a design model of reconfigurable composite micro cutting system is presented. A multiple axis mill-drill processing system is designed using this method. The modal analysis for the system is carried out and the possibility of this method is verified. The relationship between movement modules is analysed by using multi-body system theory. A general motion error model is building for system based on the analysis.
