In the cold fusion research, people pay great attention on the influence of different gas-loading ratios. In deuterium (D)-palladium (Pd) gas-solid system, research work is carried out for the effect of loading ratio on "excess heat" triggered by laser in Pd wire charged with D atoms. The "excess heat" is analyzed under the condition of different loading ratios to get the effects of loading ratios on "excess heat". Generated by a generator, D2is loaded into Pd wire by means of gas loading method and the max loading ratio can be up to0.64. The Pd wires whose loading ratios are between0.05and0.3and are triggered by frequency-doubled YAG laser in order to find out the optimum loading ratio under which the "excess heat" can be obtained obviously. The experiment results show that when the loading ratio is0.1the "excess heat" is obtained and the heat power is1075J. Some repeated experiments triggered by laser are carried out while loading ratio is approximately0.10, which proves that the optimum loading ratio is0.10when "excess heat" is the most significant.
