Series of Fe-based catalysts was prepared by impregnating resin in the aqueous solution offerric sulfate. The catalysts of Fe/R were characterized by means of SEM、TEM and EDS Theresults showed that the resin is a kind of good carrier loading iron.Fe/R was used to treat thewastewater polluted by methylene blue.In order to confirm the optimum reaction condition, the main effects on the reaction were investigated by experiments. The optimum reactionconditions were that pH=4.0,the initial concentration of H2O215mmol/L,the initialconcentration of Methylene blue2.5mmol/L, the dosage of catalyst Fe/R (the amount of ironon resin159.13mg/g)3g/L.The removal rate of methylene blue was99.32%under theoptimum conditions. The supported resin catalysts have exhibited good catalytic behaviors andlow preparation costs. These catalysts can be prepared easily, moderate reaction condition andlow dosage.Loaded Fe/SBA-15mesoporous molecular sieve was prepared by liquid phaseimpregnation method.Composition, surface morphologies, crystalline phases of loaded ironspecies have been analyzed by SEM、TEM、XRD、TG/DTA、N2adsorption-desotption andFT-IR.Characterization indicated that the prepared materials keeped to highly mesopsrouschannel and skeleton structure. It showed that the catalyst had typical mesoporous structurefeatures, larger average pore diameter and better adsorptive capacity of organiccompounds. The catalysts prepared using mesoporous molecular sieves as the carrier hadhigher dye decolorization activities.Fe/SBA-15was used to treat Methylene blue dyedwastewater. The optimum reaction conditions were that pH=3.0,the initial concentration ofH2O220mmol/L,the initial concentration of Methylene blue2.5mmol/L,the dosage of catalystFe/SBA-152g/L.The experimental results indicated that the removal rate of Methylene bluewas96.36%under the optimum conditions. The above catalyst still displayed good dyedecolorization performance after three runs.
