This paper is on the basis of the contract zone of YK22+980~+170YK23for the subject "The stability evaluation and reinforcement measures research on coal formation roadbed (slope) of Qingxing Highway" as well as the freeway roadbed (slope) project of Xingyi Highway in Guizhou, the field investigation, laboratory and field tests were conducted. Through the field monitoring test, the rock mechanics properties of coal formation, the stability evaluation method and failure mode of roadbed (slope) were summarized in this paper. By using the finite element analysis software, the author simulated the stability of coal formation roadbed (slope), and put forward the reliable reinforcing scheme.The main research works and conclusions are as follows:(1) The roadbed and slope topography and rock formations of Guizhou highways, especially the section from Qingrong to Xingyi, was investigated, with the comprehensive grasp of the slope hydrogeology conditions, formation, lithology, geological structure, geotechnical engineering characteristics and geological characteristics of the landslide;(2) Long-term monitoring for the slope surface displacement, anti-slide pile on the horizontal displacement of deep on the right side of Siguanzhai tunnel excavation import was conducted, whose data showed that the deep level displacement performed with large variation as time changes before the anti-slide pile construction completion, which kept in stable status after construction completion of anti-slide pile;(3) By using the strength reduction and limit equilibrium method, the slope stability and instability mode analysis on the right of Siguanzhai tunnel excavation import were conducted. The results showed that the existence of weak layer and the slope Angle excavation unloading are the two most important factors causing the slope instability, while the slope Angle excavation unloading is the direct factor causing the slope sliding;(4) By using the finite element analysis software ABAQUS, the analysis of its four circumstances such as the slope without adding support, anchoring bolt, anti-slide pile reinforcement and structure combination of anchor pile reinforcement and anti-slide pile are conducted. Therefore, the conclusion that the anchor and pile composite structure is the most securable reinforcement measure was put forward.
