Cantharidin can restrain the synthesis of cell protein and affect the growth of celldifferentiation, so it could use in the treatment of liver cancer, lung cancer, breastcancer, esophageal cancer, colon cancer and so on. But this medicine has toxic andcan damage organs. So it is important to transform the structural of cantharidin toreduce the toxic. In view of its toxicity to many organs, the reconstruction ofcantharidin is of great significance. The synthesis of unsaturated norcantharidin (UNC)and7-thio unsaturated norcantharidin (S-UNC) is simple (one step reactionaccompanied by high yield), and their coordination with mental ions is also not sodifficult. So we think it a simple and effective method to synthesize new drugs bytheir coordination. On the other hand, rare earth ions with specific biologicalactivity may enhance efficacy and reduce toxicity.In this paper, maleic anhydride, furan and thiophene were used to synthesis UNCand S-UNC. Then La3+, Sm3+, Nd,3+Pr3+, Gd3+and other metal ions(Ag+,Cu2+,Co2+,Ni2+,Ba2+etc) were used to coordinate with them. In the end,11complexes were synthesized and characterized with microscope, IR and X-ray singlecrystal Diffraction. The coordination polymer of Ag+and UNC were produced andtheir single crystal structures were successfully characterized. Chemical Abstract(CA)and the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC, updated to February2010)indicate that this polymer and structure are first reported by us.
