This thesis includes some contents of “Application and Optimization of SoakingTechnology of Corn” of Weifang Shengtai Pharmaceutical CO., LTD. Besides, the newsoaking technology is added.This paper, aimed at crucial problems in the environmental pollution from highconcentration of sulfite and the long soaking cycle, is studied traditional process andexplore new technology to afford theory basis for further improvements the soakingprocess. The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:1. First, we should make an intensive study of existing process. Besides, thenutrient contents from soaking corns and the soaking condition during soaking processshould be detected. Last, the change regularity of every parameter is summarized.2. According to the detection results, the mimic soaking tank should change thesoaking conditions and be detect the changes of the corresponding parameters to findthe best soaking parameters. In addition, old pulp is back to soaking process what aimedat the low concentration of lactate. This part avoids the complicated operation ofbacteria screening and reduce sewerage drainage. According to the orthogonal testresults of multi-factors and multi-level, the optimum conditions were as follows: thesulfite concentration is0.16%, the amount of old pulp is20%, the time of adding newsulfite is12h, the soaking temperature is51.8℃. This part achieved low sulfite soaking,improved the starch yield, shortened the soaking cycle (shortened by about50h to40h).
