Fuzhuan Tea is a kind of post-fermentation tea. Through the special processing technologies of piling and "flowering", Fuzhuan Tea forms special quality and has many health benefits. Fuzhuan Tea is usually used to treat diarrhea by folk. Many researches have demonstrated that Fuzhuan Tea has a good function of anti-diarrhea. But the active parts and components of anti-diarrhea in Fuzhuan Tea have not been reported. Fuzhuan Tea was extracted by three different organic solvents step by step to make four different samples, which were used to research pharmacological experiments. The four samples were used to restrain6kinds of familiar diarrhea microbe, cure diarrhea mice and adjust mice intestine propulsion motility. Through all these experiments, the anti-diarrhea active parts of Fuzhuan Tea could be found. The results were as following:1. The Fuzhuan Tea active parts of anti-diarrhea were mainly chloroform and ethyl acetate extractions. The active parts of anti-diarrhea of Fuzhuan Tea perhaps were caffeine, tea-polyphynols and polymeric matters. Because the microbe participated in quality forming during Fuzhuan Tea manufacture. The anti-diarrhea function perhaps were the cooperation of the up matter and the metabolize products of microbe.2. The Fuzhuan Tea could cure many kinds of diarrhea, such as infectious diarrhea, secretory diarrhea, effusion diarrhea, permeability diarrhea and unusual abnormal motility and so on. The ethyl acetate extracts and n-butyl alcohol extracts could restrain the six kinds of common bacterium inducing diarrhea. The chloroform extracts and ethyl acetate extracts had obvious therapeutic effect for the mice diarrhea that caused by folium sennae, castor oil and magnesium sulfate. These samples could reduce the diarrhea index and repair intestinal organization. These samples extracted by chloroform and ethyl acetate could obviously restrain the diarrhea induced by intestinal abnormal motility and the mice small intestine sthenic propulsion movement caused by neostigmine methylsulfate.3. The mechanisms of Fuzhuan Tea of anti-diarrhea functions were abroad. The first mechanism was inhibiting bacteria, adjusting the intestinal microbe’s balance and improving intestinal microbe’s environment. The second was anti-inflammatory and repairing intestinal injured organization. The third was antagonizing the gastrointestinal smooth muscle relaxation and exciting, protecting the intestinal mucosa and maintaining the normal physiological function of the digestive tract.
