A Study Of Natural Disasters In Inner Mongolia From1950S To1960s

The article Systematically studied the natural disasters which happened in Inner Mongolia during the days of establishment of the People’s Republic of China, to comprehend the disasters and its influence can provide experiences for the present days. In this article, we studied Inner Mongolia region in the twentieth century, from the year of1950to1964.This article consists of the introduction、the body and the conclusion. The introduction contains the following contents:the purpose、the significance、the present achievements on the subject, the innovations and the summarization of the historical materials. The body has three parts. In the first chapter, we reviewed the natural and social issues during the1950s and1960s in Inner Mongolia. By introducing the geographical features, we revealed the environment natural disasters and their features. Also revealed the Administrative divisions of Inner Mongolia region and the social background of the1950s and1960s, and set the preparation for the study of natural disasters in Inner Mongolia from1950s to1960s. In the second chapter, we analyzed the data of natural disasters in Inner Mongolia from1950s to1960s.By using the archives and local chronicles in the Department of Civil Affairs. We reconstructed all kinds of natural disasters and estimated their influence. In the third chapter, we systematically studied the disaster prevention incidents which include relief agencies and their policies, the alarming and relief order; the disaster saving measure includes Pension relief, resettlement and self-sufficiency, Thus we can set a historical role for the natural environment and natural sources,alarming disasters and saving measures, fully establishing rural pasturing area’s social security system.The conclusion concluded the article.In this article, we quoted catalog1and catalog2from the archives and local chronicles in the Department of Civil Affair, finally used40files from200files,by reading them we found the database,which provided basic historical materials for this article.
