And we optimize the reaction conditions and study the scope of substrates.Part â…¡: A copper acetate complex of symmetric diamine-catalyzed HenryreactionA new copper acetate complex derived from C2-symmetric diamine, which can beeasily prepared from L-proline, was developed and used as an efficient catalyst inHenry reaction between various aromatic aldehydes and nitromethane. All aldehydeswere reacted efficiently with nitromethane and corresponding β-nitroalcohols wereobtained in good yields, the reaction conditions were optimized and the substratescope was also investigated. Thereby, a practical Henry reaction methodology wasestablished under catalytic conditions with many advantages, including easyavailability of ligand, mild reaction conditions and simple workup procedures. |
