The mechanical properties, moisture and water absorptive properties, surface hydrophobicity and tribological properties of PA6composites were studied. The microstructure images of tensile surface, impact fracture surface and worn surface were observed by electronic stereomicroscope. The function of three kinds of compatibilizers on compatibility of PA6/PO composites and reinforcement mechanism of fibers on PA6/PO were analyzed respectively. The results were as follows:The properties of PA6/UHMWPE and PA6/HDPE which been treated with three kinds of compatibilizers indicated that:The mechanical properties of PA6/HDPE which been treated with HD800E were better and its impact strength and tensile elongation were205.3%and136.9%of pure PA6respectively.However, the tensile elongation of PA6/UHMWPE were lower than PA6. Microscopic cross-section analysis showed that the compatibility of PA6/HDPE which been treated with HD800E was better. The friction coefficient and wear mass loss of PA6composites decreased significantly compared with pure PA6and the tribological properties of PA6/HDPE which been treated with HD900E were better. Its wear mass loss were23.8%and41.6%of PA6when samples were grinding with smooth steel wheel and inlaid carborundum steel wheel under200N load respectively. PA6/UHMWPE and PA6/HDPE composites which been treated with three kinds of compatibilizers all could improve the moisture and water absorptive properties and surface hydrophobicity of PA6. The saturation moisture absorption and water absorption of PA6/HDPE which been treated with HD800E were better and are28.5%and46.2%of pure PA6respectively. The surface hydrophobicity of PA6/UHMWPE which been treated with HD800E was better and its contact angle was136.8%higher than PA6.The properties comparison of PA6/HDPE which obtained by different PA6showed that:The tensile elongation, impact strength and tribological properties of PA6/HDPE which obtained by M2500PA6and1013B PA6were significantly improved compared with the one which obtained by UBE1013B PA6. The moisture absorption and water absorption have been increased while flexural strength and flexural modulus decreased slightly. In addition, M2500PA6was better than the effect of1013B PA6. The wear mass loss of PA6/HDPE which obtained by M2500PA6under100N and200N load were58.8%and53.9%of the one which obtained by UBE1013B PA6respectively while the tensile elongation and impact strength were162.8%and126.2%respectively.The properties of fiber-reinforced PA6/HDPE composites indicated that the addition of different content of GF and CF had some improvement on the tensile strengthã€flexual strengthã€flexual modulusã€impact strength and hardness of PA6/HDPE while the decreased of tensile elongation.The wear resistance of fiber-reinforced PA6/HDPE composites made an improvement too. | Keywords/Search Tags: | PA6composites, UHMWPE, HDPE, fiber, blending | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
