A lead-silver ore concentrator in Yunnan had trouble in rationalizing its reagent strategy and process, which caused the low recovery of lead and silver. This paper is aimed at obtaining optimal process technology and index by reasonable reagent strategy and process.In this thesis, single mineral flotation tests were carried out to investigate the flotation behavior of lead alum. Systematic process and process condition tests on a low-grade lead-silver ore in Yunnan(lead grade1.06%, silver grade16.8g/t, the oxidation rate17.8%) were completed to put forward a preferential floatation technology for this lead-silver ore and found its application in industrial processes. The results show that:(1) When sodium carbonate is pH adjusting agent, the flotability of lead alum is better than that obtained by using sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid as pH regulator, and flotation pH with high recoveries ranges from7to8.(2) The suitable grinding fineness for flotation of the lead-silver ore is82.8%passing74μm. The suitable regulator for flotation of sulfide minerals is sodium carbonate, while collector is Y89-2and sodium dibutyl dithiophosphate. Sodium hexametaphosphate is not suitable for regulator as a rough selection of the sulfide minerals.The oxide minerals adjusting agent is sodium hexametaphosphate. Sodium sulfide is the activator and sulfuration time is10minutes. HS is the sulfuration effective components of lead alum.The effect of subsection adding sodium sulfide is better than a period of adding sodium sulfide.(3) This paper presents the preferential flotation technology, suitable for Yunnan lead-silver ore. Compared with the original mixed flotation technology, lead recovery rate is enhanced by20.85%and the silver recovery rate is increased by16.35%. The net profit increased3067700yuan per year. This significantly improves the enterprise processing level and ability, but also for the local economy development laid a foundation.
