The synthesis procedure of an active, degradable green water-absorbent polyacrylic acid resin was studied, and its appliance experiment was carried out. A method of improve Saline-alkali soil with water-absorbent polyacrylic acid resin was developed. Thus A kind of water-absorbent polyacrylic acid resin was prepared, with ammonium persulfate-ammonium bisulfite as initiator, and N, N’-methylene-bis-acrylamide as crosslinker. Different kind of sulfonation agents and sulfonation temperature was studyed upon their effects in the process of humic acid sulfonation. And the influence of the amount of crosslinker, initiator was also discussed.Water retaining capacity and soil evaporation rate was determined with water retaining agent prepared via optimum reaction condition. Through comparison, we discovered that the rate of evaporation of soil was reduced by applying water-retaining agent. Hence the germination rate and survival rate of plant was elevated.The results indicate that the compound of synthesized sulfonated humic acid poly acrylic acid water-absorbent resin could not only effectively overcome the shortcomings of traditional polypropylene acid water-absorbent resin in poor salt tolerance, but could also effectively improve the soil’s properties of ion-exchange and adsorption. water-absorbent resin is important to Saline-alkali soil improvement.
