In recent years, white pollutions are more and more serious, which influences the normally life of people and endanger the economy and industry of our country. Therefore, it is focus to research biodegradable materials in the world. But polylactide has some shortcomings such as brittleness and high cost, which influences the properties of products and interrupts the widely used. This work selects the combination methods of plasticizing and toughening to modify the PLA for resolving these problems. The PLA/GMS/ACR blends, with molecular distillation glyceryl monostearate (GMS) as plasticizer and ACR with core-shell structure as toughening agent, were prepared by melt compounding method to find out the appropriate scale of all components.1. The PLA/GMS blends were prepared by melt compounding method and the effect of GMS with different content on properties of PLA/GMS blends was characterized. The result of rheology showed that the storage modulus, loss modulus and the complex viscosity all have the downtrend with the increasing of GMS content. Moreover, the complex viscosity of PLA/GMS blends presented the evident shear-thinning behavior coMParing to the neat PLA.The test of SEM shows that the blends of PLA/GMS are incoMPatible system. There many GMS blocks can be found when the content of GMS increased. The Wu percolation theory indicated that this gathered phenomenon can effectively improve the impact strength of PLA.2. The PLA/GMS/ACR blends were produced by melt compounding method. According to the shows of the result of PLA/GMS blends, we choice the plasticizer content is20%of PLA/GMS and discuss the effect of ACR with different content on the properties of PLA/GMS/ACR blends. Mechanical test showed that the impact strength of PLA/GMS/ACR blends present the trend of increased and then decreased with the increasing of ACR content. When adding10%ACR, the impact strength of the blend is reached to maximum, which is63.7KJ/m2. The elongation at break also reaches to largest at10%ACR, and the value is100%. The DMA and rheology test indicated that the elastic modulus, loss modulus and the complex viscosity of PLA/GMS/ACR blends have the increasing trend with the increasing content of ACR.
