The variable structure of self-adaptive mechanical is mechanical device thatadapt to the external environment, objects and other factors by the changes in therestructures.Nowadays, the folding stopper of large-scale steel mills is a typical variablestructure self-adaptive mechanism. It automatically adapt to the location of the slagnotch through its own structural adjustment. It is precisely because of its smart feature,stopper receives good application and praise in the actual production. However, due tothe impact of the external environment and structural reasons, there are still manyproblems in the existing stopper such as the lifting height is not ideal, the straight linetrajectory of the plug is not long enough, and adaptive function is not strong enough,cause it can not work stable and reliable, seriously affecting production.This paper is based on the main problems of the existing stopper, it has carriedout comprehensive and detailed analysis and research of the stopper, the main reasonaffecting performance of the stopper has been found, that is the structural parametersof the stopper is irrational. Firstly, the stopper body has been simplified, theinstitutions equation has been established using mechanism of planar, then useparticle swarm optimization to solve, then we got the optimized parameters of theinstitutional structure. Using the kinematic and dynamic simulation software ADAMSto create a virtual simulation model of the stopper, verified that the performance of thestopper has been greatly improved after analyzing: the length of the straight linesegment has been grown; the height of the folding is altitude.The adaptive function design of the stopper has been improved, mainly usingthe multi-degree freedom slot vice with flexible original spring to achieve, changingthe degrees of freedom to change the structure of institutions, In order to adapt to the changes and fluctuations due to external factors that can not block the slag notch.According to the applied load and the gravity of the institution itself, calculated thespring force, then design the spring, the performance of agencies has been greatlyimproved after improved through the comprehensive analysis contrast of the agency.Using ANSYS make stress and deformation analysis of the modeling agencies, get thediagram and deformation maps of the stopper, verify the stability of and closedfunction of the stopper.Through the optimization of structural parameters and improved design, theperformance of the stopper has been greatly improved, work more reliable and morestable. This study provides a new optimized design ideas and a new ways and meansof institutional design, provides a new theoretical foundation and research methods ofthe creation and design of adaptive institutions.
