A and B wastewater treatment plants in Guangzhou, current situation BOD5andCOD, SS, ammonia nitrogen, TN, TP of influent quality are monitored in the reallong-term testing, analyzed urban water quality variation for daily monitoring value by thefrequencies of descriptive statistics of SPSS. The results showed that: effluent quality of Aand B plants are significant seasonal rhythm, especially during wet-season. There is combinedsewage system in Guangzhou, according to the design of the closure coefficients, when therain falls, a certain amount of water was closured to municipal plants by the sewage pipenetwork. It is wet-season from april to september every year in Guangzhou. The trend of Aand B plants are the same each year,indicating to sewage sources and the influencing factors.BOD5/TN of plant A is lower than plant B, the average of BOD5/TN of plant A is lessthan3.0, however, the removal rate of ammonia nitrogen of plant A is higher than plant B.Higher influent ammonia nitrogen didn’t have negative effects to the removal rate ofammonia nitrogen. But it lead to higher effluent ammonia values, the compliance rate of TNeffluent is low. It is used the A-A~2/Oprocess in plant A, the removal rate and guarantee rate ofTN are low, analyzing the characteristics of influent and environmental reasons, according toproposing the optimization measures, raising the level of management and strengthening themanagement, it get the higher removal rate of TN.There is municipal wastewater in sewage treatment plants, but in different urbandevelopment requirements mix of fecal and landfill leachate into sewage treatment, due tounpredictable reason of toxic substances or cause sludge poisoning substances into the sewagetreatment system, these situations will be a certain impact and harm on sewage system.
