This essay studies related theories of low pressure casting, i.e. forming theory and process flow. It also theoretically analyzes process design and control of low pressure casting, and combined with the features of Aluminum alloy, explores various treatments of defined deterioration of Aluminum alloy.Torque converters manufactured by Foundry Division of LiuGong used to be produced manually with sand casting process, manual operation going all the way through molding, checking, poring and blasting. Manual sand casting process has disadvantages such as low productivity, high labor intensity and cost, poor quality on the surface and internal of castings. The author, based on the industrial information, the features of torque converter casting and the analysis of reliability, has come to the conclusion that torque converter Aluminum casting manufactured with low pressure casting process can save the consumption of precious metal by large margin, and besides, improve casting density and quality, and accuracy of dimension.Based on the features of torque converter casting for LiuGong wheel loaders, the author has explored in the aspects of material selection of mould, optimization of technological schemes and of pouring parameters of low pressure casting pouring, experiment on deterioration treatment. Through casting trial manufacturing, performance test, author has successfully solved various problems in low pressure casting process and eventually made breakthroughs in technical problems in conquer converters manufactured with low pressure casting process. Beneficial exploration into defect prevention in the actual manufacturing of low pressure castings is also made in the essay.This essay focuses on the optimization and design of technology parameters of LiuGong low pressure casting and might possesses some reference value for the industry in the aspect of aluminum manufacturing with low pressure casting.
