Dynamometer card is one of important means of determining the working status ofpumping wells, But the traditional method of dynamometer card analysis couldn’t offer thefault diagnosis timely. Because the large quantity, widely distributed and low automationdegree of fault diagnosis for pumping unit in the oil extraction industry, a kind of diagnostictechnique and method, as well as software architecture is wanted to enhanced the accuracy offault diagnosis and the ability to diagnose multiple faults.Owing to the small number of measurement times of measured dynamometer card, theshort life of sensors, the high measurement cost, slow information feedback and othershortcomings, the4kinds of mathematical model of electrical parameter inversion ofdynamometer card for pumping well was established which is based on the law ofconservation of energy and the analysis of the detailed movement and loss of pumping unit.The research and development of pumping unit intelligent inspection system is based onelectrical parameter inversion with the help of these mathematical models. Equivalentdynamometer card of these4kinds of pumping wells could be drawn using this system,facilitating the real-time monitoring of working conditions of pumping wells. The40pumpingwells’ dynamometer cards of different types were drawn, It showed that average coincidencerate reach94.01%, average coincidence rate between the computed results of equivalentmaximum/minimum load and real-time results of maximum/minimum load reached95.95%and89.78. The balance effect of pumping unit is good, the value of balance degree higherthan80%. It shows that the study of this article can provide a basis for making and adjustingthe reasonable working system of oil wells, as well as workover operation.
