Electro spinning is the most effective and simplest way for producing nano-fiber. The nano-fibers produced by this way have a broad future in bio-medical, filters, clothing and many other fields. Though the traditional solution electro spinning can produce thinner fibers, there are some problems in the solvent recovery and matching the right solvent, which limit much in industrial application. While the melt electro spinning can avoid these problems, thus it has more development space compared to the solution electro spinning. Since the21st century, with the daily growing research of electro spinning technology, it shows great importance in process controlling and mechanism of research of electro spinning basic theory. But during the process of electro spinning, the forming process of spinning fibers is complex, and the jet’s falling process is extremely unstable, leading to the uncontrolled jet flow, resulting in non-uniform structure and poor forming quality. These problems seriously hinder the pace of progress for the massive industrialization of melt electro spinning.This article is based on experimental study of melt electrospinning. With the self developed melt electro spinning devices combined with high speed video technology, the experimental melt electro spinning high speed video observation platform has been successfully built. By the real-time observation of jet, the influence of the nano-fiber forming and falling under the condition of different materials, temperatures, voltages, spinning distance have been studied, getting the general regularity of fiber forming and falling in melt electro spinning and the optimal condition of stable spinning jets. In addition, in this article, an experimental self-developed high efficient nozzle was used. A study on the jet motion in the spinning process has been carried out. The characteristics and regularity of fiber falling orientation under best spinning condition have been verified by the experiments.
