Because coking wastewater has the high concentration of NH3-N in the biochemical treatment, it can not be achieved to the discharge standards. If NH3-N in the coking wastewater can form to fertilizer(magnesium ammonium phosphate),the process can not only eliminate NH3-N in the coking wastewater but also nitrogen fertilizer can be used to the agriculture. Coking wastewater annual emissions is about65million cubic meters. NH3-N form to fertilizer in the coking wastewater which is unrealistic. It is important to search intermediates to adsorb NH3-N in order to merge into fertilizer. This paper uses cation exchange resin to adsorb NH3-N in the coking wastewater. Many methods are used to improve the adsorption capacity of resin which provides a basis for the recycling of coking wastewater.Cation exchange resin can be used to adsorb NH3-N by static and dynamic adsorption of test results. The maximum of NH3-N is69mg/g in the simulated wastewater.1mol/L NaCl solution as the regeneration of the fluid regenerate cation exchange resin. The resin of regeneration rate is still more than90%in static regeneration and dynamic regeneration. The resin can repeat adsorb the NH3-N many times after regenerating. The maximum adsorption capacity of the resin of NH3-N is13.25mg/g in the coking wastewater. SS、Ga2+、Mg2+and some organic matter in the coking wastewater cause the resin adsorption of NH3-N decreased. Considering the removal efficiency and following-up recovery of NH3-N test, the paper selects combined process (coking wastewater (?) corn phosphate cellulose+coke+resin) which is used to reduce effects in the process of resin adsorbing the NH3-N.
