As the energy shortage, saving energy and reducing consumption materials causedpeople more and more attention. Waterborne heat insulation coatings have adiabaticeffect by Reflecting Sunlight and blocking heat transfer.This paper discusses thewaterborne heat insulation coating manufacturing technology and processing andoptions of the emulsion, fillers, additives.Through the orthogonal experiment, determinethe formulation of the waterborne heat insulation coating. The coefficient of thermalconductivity test, coating conventional performance test,white light microscopic test,infrared test, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) test are used to characterize thewaterborne heat insulation coating, to probes into film mechanism and heat insulationmechanism of waterborne heat insulation coating. The conclusions are as follows:Waterborne heat insulation coating performance test results show that the bestformula is: styrene-acrylic latex40g, hollow beads50g, vermiculite80g, siliceousaluminous fiber8g, silica20g, w-18and w-519each0.5g, flow ping agent0.4g, filmadditives1.6g, thickener1.6g. Test results are: solid content (Wt%)48, pH value7,viscosity (tu-4cups)>50, dilute stability48hours no destroying stratification, coatingfineness (μm)50, paint besmear brushs two way of construction obstacle-free, thecoating adhesion1. The coefficient of thermal conductivity is0.0307W/(m K).Electronic scanning photographs showing the hollow beads and vermiculite in the paintfilm of uniform dispersion, distribution state is good. And the test results show that thefunction of the fillers make waterborne heat insulation coating produced a lot better thanany other single component heat insulation.In this paper the optimum technological conditions of the waterborne heatinsulation are determined. The preparation process is: dispersing time for90min to finedegrees below50μm; Coating best baking temperature110℃curing and time2.5h.That nanometer materials SiO2dispersed by surface dispersants modifiedorthogonal experimental formula got the best effect. in styrene-acrylic Nano materialsSiO2adding amount for2%-4%of the total resin is relatively appropriate.heat insulationcoating film adding the nano material SiO2has improved great performance of high temperature resistant alkaline water (50℃, pH8.5), reaching156h,and conventionalmechanical properties of film have obvious improvement. when Adding amount of nanomaterials SiO2rises to4%,film fog-corrosion of heat insulation coating reach120h,Solvent resistance performance increased to144h, but adding too many nanomaterials SiO2will cause rising of system viscosity, drop of solvent resistance coatingperformance and comprehensive performance instead.
