The plastic have the advantages of low cost, corrosion-resistant, low reactivity with acid and base; light mass; heat tolerance and electrical insulation; high toughness; good durability and waterproof ability. Based on these good properties, the plastic have gradually replaced steel to be a promising new material. But the waste plastic can’t be degraded easily due to its corrosion-resistant ability, which leads to big scale white pollution. In our work, some compatibilizers are be added into waste plastics blend with an expect that the properties of waste plastic can be promoted, recycling of resource can be realized, the harm to environment can be reduced.First, we researched the blend of PP and PS, TGA. DSC、MFE、SEM are be used to characterize and analyze the polymer blends. We also measured their tensile tensile strengths, impact strengths, rheological properties and vicat softening points. It turned out that the plastic blends which are simply obtained by blending without compatilizer have lower properties than that of pure polymer.Second, we focused on researching the blend of waste PP/PS by adding thermoplastic elastomer SBS, with a hope to promote the properties of blend. FTIR、 TGA、DSC、SEM are be used to characterize and analyze the polymer blends. We also measured their tensile strengths, impact strengths, rheological properties and vicat softening points. It turned out that the plastic blends which are simply obtained by blending with compatilizer SBS have higher properties than that of pure waste plastic.Third, we tried to add new plastic into waste plastic and researched the blends of new PP/waste PS, new PP/waste PP after they are mixed with some SBS. DSC\SEM are be used to characterize and analyze the polymer blends. We also measured their tensile strengths, impact strengths, rheological properties and vicat softening points. It turned out that in the waste PS/new PP blend system, when SBS are be added into system, the compatility has a rise. When the mass fraction of PS is low,its influence to new PP is very low, which achieves the requirement of application; In the blend of waste PP/new PP, when the mass fraction of PP is up to30%, the properties are also quite good, which can also achieves the requirement of application.
