The Reserch On Protection And Management For The Wetland Ecosystem Of Taihu Lake

Taihu Lake is China’s second largest freshwater lake, and the areas where its wetland locates is also Chinese famous land of plenty. Not only does Taihu wetland ecosystem have lots of particularly rich biological resources, but also it has many functions,including climate regulation, flood control, domestic water, degradation of pollutants, purifying water, regulating micro-climate,dredging shipping, tourism development and maintenance of ecological balance. Therefore, the Taihu wetland ecosystem is an important protected part of Chinese wetlands. However, due to the impact of natural, historical and man-made causes, Taihu wetland ecosystem is suffering serious damage and degradation. So we need to analyze the current situation and problems of Taihu wetland seriously and strengthen more effective research on wetland protection and management,and then we should adopt scientific management methods and reasonable protection to curb further deterioration of the Taihu Lake wetland environment.By drawing on ecological principles, restoration ecological principles, ecological economy, wetland ecology and sustainable development theories, The article summarizes the basic situation of Taihu wetland ecosystem more comprehensively. On this basis, The article scientificly analyzes the main problems of the Taihu wetland ecosystem and reasons why these problems appear,and it proposes practical conservation and management measures; Using chart analysis, benefit analysis and data analysis and case studies, the article has an research on for reasons which main problems of Taihu Lake wetland arise and the the importance and measures of protection and management:First, Serious eutrophication, excessive reclamation, fishery resources laissez-faire management, invasive species and transformation of wetland landscape are reasons why the main problem of the Taihu Lake wetlands form. For many causes, eutrophication is the most important reason., man-made emission is the dominant factor which affects trophic state index, and the contribution rate of temperature is greater than precipitation in terms of natural factors.Second, Because there are the market value method and shadow project method to calculate the value of Taihu wetland ecosystem, the importance of the protection and management by the figures is illustrated more graphically.Third,in order to solve current problems,the article provides eight messures that contain strengthening wetland protection awareness andwater quality monitoring and management, establishing Ecological Park and Nature Reserve, improving wetland protection laws and regulations, promoting ecological projects, the establishment of wetland ecological benefit compensation system, sharing the datas of wetland conservation and management, strengthening protection and management on fishery resources.In summary, this paper is the organic combination of the theoretical basis, technology and management,and proposes practical conservation and management measures.At last,I hope that the ideas and methods in this paper can provide a reference for Taihu wetland ecosystem protection and management.
