Magnetic abrasive finishing has the advantages of high finishing flexibility, nice self-adaptability and marked finishing performance, and as the magnetic abrasives could achieve the micro-nano processing of workpiece in the finishing, so it could achieve the burring, rough and precision machining of workpiece’s surface, consequently, it has higher application value in improving workpiece’s surface quality and the level of manufacture.In the process of magnetic abrasive finishing, the finishing effect is mainly influenced by the factor of magnetic abrasives’performance in the basically same working conditions, so that the simple preparation process and fine finishing performance of magnetic abrasives was explored, and the large-scale application of magnetic abrasive finishing could be promoted by the new preparation method, for this reason, in the base of analysing and contrasting the magnetic finishing and magnetic abrasives’preparation technology of the domestic and overseas, on the current situation and the shortage of magnetic abrasives’hybrid preparation technology, the results of prior researches were summarized, and the finishing performance of new magnetic abrasives, viscoelastic magnetic abrasives, was furtherly studied in this paper. Viscoelastic magnetic abrasives is a new exploration of the magnetic abrasives’hybrid method, which has a certain viscosity and elasticity, and could be effected to the workpiece’s surface in a certain apply force in the condition of external working magnetic field’s effect, so the abrasives has better working adaptability and is suitable for the precision finishing of sample’s internal hole surface, plane and complex curved surface, the magnetic finishing could has excellent economy and efficiency if the finishing process is located after the rough grinding.The paper’s main research contents are as follows:1, The forces of viscoelastic magnetic abrasives in the role surface finishing of the rotating magnetic field was analysed; the finishing mechanism of viscoelastic magnetic abrasives was furtherly analysed from the process of workpiece’s micro surface shape by the viscoelastic magnetic abrasives in the process of finishing.2, For the situation of single matrix viscoelasticity’s shortage, the compound matrix scheme of viscoelastic magnetic abrasives’preparation was selected, and corresponding process scheme was analysed and experimental validated.3, The viscoelastic magnetic abrasives was preliminarily classified by the maximum values, minimum values and the middle values of fuzzy mathematics’ classification function, then the classification functions were validated by the experiment methods, the viscoelastic magnetic abrasives was classified in three class of softness, middleness and hardness.4, The finishing performance of viscoelastic magnetic abrasives was influenced by the factors of abrasives’constitution, which contains matrix content、quality proportion between the grinding phase and the magnetic phase、 relative particle between the grinding phase and the magnetic phase and the matrix viscoelasticity, the corresponding finishing experiments of Y12tube part’s role surface was studied by the prepared viscoelastic magnetic abrasives, the finishing performance of magnetic abrasives was verified.Through the above researches, that the reliable finishing performance and the feasible preparation process of viscoelastic magnetic abrasives was known, and the abrasives has highly application value, the sustainable development of magnetic abrasive preparation technology couled be promoted by the preparation of viscoelastic magnetic abrasives.
