| With the rapid development of society,especially the raising of urbanization, municipal solid waste has become a big problem in all over the world. Nowadays, sanitary landfill becomes the most important method to deal with municipal waste at home and abroad.The key of sanitary landfill is site selection.A reasonable landfill site not only decreases the cost of construction and management, but also decreases the Potential dangerous for environment Pollution.At the Present time, some fatal pollution accidents have always appeared because of unsuitable landfill site selection.The traditional site selection is to follow the relevant laws and regulations, technical standards and specifications,study a variety of information,carry out field investigation, then make a empirical judgment and qualitative selection.This traditional mode is too subjectivity, arbitrariness and uncertainty lacking of quantitative evaluation of the impact of location factors and their importance.The construction and operation of the landfill produce leachate, landfill gas, mosquitoes, light trash and other pollutants have a tremendous impact on the surrounding environment.Pollution prevention conditions, the geological barrier conditions, construction conditions, transportation conditions,legal and public support conditions.Involving engineering, environmental science, economics, law and political science.So it’s a multi-objective decision problem.There are some mature ways to deal with this problem such as Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method in Fuzzy Math, AHP, the Gray Clustering Method of Gray System Theory, Expert Systems and Geographic Information System(GIS) and so on.The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a simulated way of thinking,express and deal with subjective judgment in quantitative way.Reducing complex decisions to a series of one-on-one comparisons, which are methodical and simple.AHP not only help us decision makers arrive at the best landfill site selection, but also Provides a coherent and clear decision-making ideas.Based on these reasons, I choose the subject of application of AHP in the quantitative evaluation of solid waste sanitary landfill sites.Create a solid waste landfill site suitability evaluation model,and used in twelve landfills in Loess area in Gansu province.According to hydrology,engineering geological features in this area,establish a hierarchical model, certain the factors should be considered under the AHP model and in accordance with relevant regulations, standards, research results and expert advice to build a suitability evaluation criteria.Eventually come to the unanimous conclusion with experts, and the actual construction of operating results,then arrive at a influencing factors of importance indicators of selection landfill sites in the loess area in Gansu Province, verify and optimize the application of the AHP model in the evaluation of landfill sites that already built or in construction. The model can also be applied to select a suitable landfill site. |
