Blade is one of the important component in the power plants,such as turbomachine,steam turbine,hydroturbine. High size precision and exllent roughness ofblade plays an important role in the performance of such power plants.Under theconditions above,this paper developed a double-sised grinding and polishing machinefor blade.A lot of attention is paid to the characteristic feature on mouiding surface ofblade,the design of machine, the control system for the machine.The double-sised grinding and polishing machine for blade is composed by thebed,double X-oriented tables,double Z-oriented tables,Y-oriented table,rotary table Cand flip table B.Through the analisys of characteristic feature on mouiding surface ofblade,the process of maching blades can divide to double-sised process and the axismaching,before that we should correctly divide the blade into two area.Combining the features of the machine configuration,on the basis of analysis on theprocess of CNC,an open CNC system was developed with PC plus the PMAC.PC isused to design and develop the program of control system.PMAC is used to receivethe information sended by PC and control all axis of motion,motors of tool systemincluded.in this case,the advantage of PC and PMAC can be used totally.Based on the idea of modular and analysis the function which the machine canachieve,we developed the sofeware control system of the double-sised grinding andpolishing machine for blade with VC++in the platform of windows.The modularconcept is conducive to transplatation and secondary development of software. Thesofeware control system of the double-sised grinding and polishing machine for bladeis divided into the machine debug module,parameter setting module,processingselection module,tool system module and display module.The machining accuracy of part is affected by the motion accuracy of axis of thedouble-sised grinding and polishing machine for blade.we have made an detectionexperiment on the motion error of machine axis,the results of experiment shows that all straightness error of axis are within the design allowable,and all positioning errorof axis are changed regularly,so we can reduce the positioning error through create anerror compensation table.Finally,a prototype cutting experiments were divided into single-factor experimentsand orthogonal experiments.Analysis of experimengtal results shows that thegranularity has the most apparent influence on the surface roughness,secondary thefeeding rate,followed by the speed of the belt.
