The submersible electric pump as a oil lifting equipment, has high efficiency andproduction speed. The application in oil field at home and abroad increases ceaselessly. At thesame time of submersible electric pump be used more and more, the market need thesubmersible electric pump technology put forward higher, such as in submersible electricpump oil well and the work of matching selection not only involves a large number offormula, and potential oil pump electric production is based on submersible electric pump unitafter supporting the parameter table of customization, so how to improve the submersibleelectric pump selection of well pump working efficiency and reducing the error rate of thewhole process is very important. Based on this situation, people begin to study through thesoftware to select submersible electric pump for oil well, thereby improving the efficiencyand reducing the error rate.This paper studies the selection methods of submersible electric pump for oil well, andputs these methods into a computer algorithm, At the end we get a software for selection of oilwell submersible electric pump, this software mainly contains the following functions:(1) oil well productivity prediction function:This function analyze the base parameters of oil well (including oil temperature,pressure, perforating depth and so on) to obtains some parameters such as the oil wellproduction rate, the well fluid content, well liquid concentration and so on, these parameterswill be used for the selection of the submersible electric pump.(2) submersible electric pump selection function;This function uses the productivity prediction parameters to select the suitable pump,protector, separator, cable, motor and so on. Each step will produce new parameters which canbe used in the next step, such as pump parameters, protector parameters, separator parameters,motor parameters, cable parameters and so on.(3) submersible electric pump curve function:This function provide methods for query parameters of submersible electric pump curves,these submersible electric pump curves include IPR curve, GLR-P curve and impeller curve,this function also provide methods for curve transform. (4) submersible electric pump parameter table creating and outputting function:This function collect all the parameters of the submersible electric pump (such as thepump parameters, the protector parameters, the motor parameters, the cable parameters and soon), then put these parameters into an Excel table which the system prepared for submersibleelectric pump parameters outputting.(5) The batch processing of submersible electric pump selection:Since sometimes vary a lot of work of submersible electrical pump need to do in veryshort time. This system develops a new function to do batch work of submersible electricpump selection. First this function read oil well parameters from a Excel table, then thisfunction analysis these parameters and compute some new parameters for select submersibleelectric pump, at last this function will output the result parameters into an Excel table.The system for Electric submersible pump selection is used in Sultan, Indonesia andother foreign market promotion, it improves the users’ working efficiency and accuracy, and ithas been widely recognized by users.
