Magnesium alloy because of its many fine features to be widely used, it has a longtime been considered to be the ease of processing materials, but in practice it isproved that the magnesium alloy is not easy to machine materials, mainly because ofthe magnesium alloy material is likely to occur in the actual processing chip burning,thin-walled Workpieces deformation of the machined surface damage and so onphenomenons, and it has a high demand of processing environment and processmethods in the actual processing. In this paper, a large number of experiments have been done on the analysis of theturning mechanism. Based on orthogonal test and single factor analysis testing theimpact of different cutting elements on cutting forces, summed up the variation ofcutting force, optimize the cutting parameters and to establish the empirical formulabetween the cutting force and cutting parameters. By the study of Chip form under theconditions of turning processing, to explore the safe, efficient production andprocessing of the AZ91D magnesium alloy. By the drilling tests, studyed the effectsof different drilling parameters on surface roughness of AZ91D magnesium alloyparts, and to explore the mechanism of chip breaking. By donging simulation analysisof deformation with ANSYS of AZ91D magnesium alloy thin-walled parts in themachining conditions, to explore ways to reduce the deformation of the thin-walled inthe actual processing. And this paper provide a scientific basis for the efficient andsafe processing of AZ91D magnesium alloy.
