| Artificial leather industries have been got rapid development with the development ofeconomy of our country. In the process of artificial leather production, a large number oforganic solvents are used to make high qualities of the produces.8.4ton dimethylformamide,0.39ton toluene and0.39ton methyl ethylketone are used for the produces ofevery10000m of artificial leather. These organic solvents will be sent into the air throughventilation. Up to now, most factories have recoveried90%dimethyl formamide with theabsorption of dimethyl formamide in the exhaust gas with water as the absorbent.However, less toluene and methyl ethylketone can be recovered which result in thepollution of environment. It is necessary to develop the method to recovery them from theexhaust gas of artificial leather production process.On the basis of the literature review, absorption method was proposed to deal withthe exhausted gas, and the suitable absorbents were selected according to the principle ofsimilar structure and dissolution each other. A high boiling point absorbent DCT wastherefore selected and employed in this study. The process was simulated with chemicalengineering software and then the experimented were carried out. The effects of operationconditions on the process were examined, and the content of water in absorbent and thehumidity of exhausted gas were also investigated. The results show that the height oftower is1m, gas-liquid moler ratio is7.9, humidity in the waste gas has no effect on theabsorption efficiency, but the operation temperature has great negative influence on theabsorption. Under the optimum conditions the absorption efficiency of toluene can reach98.5%, the absorption efficiency of dimethylformamide can reach98.5%. The absorptionefficiency of2-butanone is92%. The vent gas from the absorption process can meet thestate standard. |
